I started my career in the business world, and later became focused on technology. This business background enables me to be a bridge between the world of non-technology executives and stakeholders and the technology teams that build solutions for them.

Communication skills
My business background provides me with highly developed skills in numerous modes of communication:

Documents: I create high-quality written content, including reports, proposals, technical documentation and training manuals. Some of the documentation I have created includes Sales Playbooks, Salesforce training documents, White papers, and Proposals.
Presentation skills: I am comfortable presenting to all levels of the org chart, including the C-Suite. I have presented to dozens of clients in high-dollar sales pursuits.
Writing technical articles: I have written over 70 articles for trade magazines.
Public Speaking: I have experience presenting to large groups at trade shows and events.

Project Management
I have managed over 20 complex technology projects valued at over $8 million. I created complex project plans spanning months or years and performed daily project management and documentation.

Project Design and Estimation
I have estimated costs on complex multi-mllion dollar technology projects including estimating data center equipment, software, custom integration and subcontractors.

Business Software Experience

Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced user in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, intermediate MS Access skills.
Reporting and Business Intelligence: Experience with Crystal Reports Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau CRM and other reporting tools.
Project Management: Fluent in MS Project, some experience in Primavera.
Presentation Software: PowerPoint and Prezi.
Online collaboration/project management tools: Clarizen, Jira, BaseCamp, AtiveCollab, Wrike, Asana, 10,000 foot, TeamWork, Monday, iMeetcentral, Zoho, Smartsheet, Huddle, Ravetree.
Other: Adobe Acrobat, graphics software, some animation and Video experience.
